Charity Concert in Berlin for the Victims of the CSD Attack
On August 18, 2026, artists, friends, and the community will come together at the Columbiahalle for a joint benefit concert.
Under the slogan “Open Up for Queer Freedom,” performers including Herbert Grönemeyer, Badmómzjay, Juju, Ikkimel, Apsilon, Blond, Ebow, and Domiziana will take the stage on August 18. The benefit concert was initiated by queer rapper Baran Kok.
CSD stands for visibility, self-determination, and the freedom to be and love as we choose. That’s why, in the wake of the attack on CSD, we refuse to remain silent.
None other than the icon herself—Barbie Breakout—will be hosting the evening.
Because an attack on a space of queer visibility is not directed solely against those immediately affected. It is directed against the freedom to be visible without fear, against diversity, and against the right to a self-determined life. We want to counter this hatred with solidarity, visibility, and a loud voice.
Music can’t undo what happened. But it can bring people together. It can take a stand, create spaces, and turn compassion into concrete solidarity.
Stand up for queer freedom.
Against hate and intimidation.
For visibility, diversity, and solidarity.
Proceeds from the evening will be donated to Schwulenberatung Berlin (opens in a new tab) and to CSDs in rural eastern Germany.
If you can’t attend but still want to support the cause, you can donate directly to the joint fundraising effort: Just go to “Buy Ticket” and select “No ticket—just support.”
