Conceived as an extension of the architectural practice of the Gonzalez Haase AAS architecture studio, the works on display explore materiality, function, and the subtle choreography of everyday behaviors. They examine how an object shapes movement, use, and atmosphere within a space.
Together, the works are part of Gonzalez Haase AAS’s ongoing “Spatial Objects” series, in which individual pieces organize a space and can grow into larger spatial compositions. The exhibition also marks the launch of the Baton Wardrobe, a modular piece made of polished stainless steel, black-glazed oak, and marble.
Product Launch: Baton Wardrobe by Gonzalez Haase AAS x Marbledworks
The Baton Wardrobe is a flexible, sculptural piece that combines industrial precision with solid wood. A 1.70-meter-tall, polished triangular profile made of stainless steel features round openings for freely positionable rods of black-glazed oak and rests on a 6-cm-high triangular marble base. Multiple units can be arranged side by side, evolving from furniture into architectural compositions. Created in collaboration with Marbledworks, the piece transforms marble scraps into architectural material and is part of the Spatial Objects series by Gonzalez Haase AAS.
ABOUT
Gonzalez Haase AAS is a Berlin-based architecture and design studio founded by Judith Haase and Pierre Jorge Gonzalez. The studio works in the fields of architecture, interiors, and product design and is known for a material-driven approach that translates spatial thinking into furniture and objects, translating its architectural language into pieces that interact directly with everyday use and behavior—including the ongoing Spatial Objects series.
OUVERTURE Studio serves as a conceptual space where jewelry and design converge in an ever-changing setting. Rather than functioning as a permanent showroom, the space is shaped by an ongoing program of collaborations with designers, studios, and producers, each of whom brings their own perspectives on the relationship between objects, materials, and space.
Marbledworks is a studio specializing in the fabrication and creative reuse of marble and natural stone. In close collaboration with designers and architects, the studio transforms materials—including offcuts and scraps—into well-thought-out, functional objects.
