Lecture by Dr. Meike Hoffmann, “Degenerate Art” Research Center, Freie Universität Berlin
This lecture focuses on the Nazi “Degenerate Art” campaign and its consequences for museums, artists, and collections. At one of the sites of this campaign—Schönhausen Palace—the lecture will examine the background, the mechanisms of confiscation, and current research on provenance.
