With her distorted guitars, pointed lyrics, and euphoric indie hooks, SOFY has evolved in just a few years from a Leicester-based hidden gem into one of the most exciting new voices on the British indie scene.

This November, the singer-songwriter is coming to Berlin for an exclusive concert, bringing a sound to the stage that blends alternative rock, indie, and pop in a way that’s raw, catchy, and contemporary.

Even with her 2021 debut single “Strawberry Milkshake,” SOFY made it clear that she doesn’t adhere to traditional songwriting conventions. Her music thrives on keenly observed stories of everyday life, big melodies, and an irrepressible energy that works just as well in sweaty clubs as it does on festival stages. With songs like “Big Talk,” “socks,” “Ashley Cole Type Beat,” and “WET PAINT,” she quickly gained a growing online fan base and established herself as one of the UK’s most exciting newcomers.

The next step in her career came rapidly: Already in her first year, SOFY made it onto the official FIFA 23 soundtrack and made her debut at the Glastonbury Festival. In the months that followed, she became a fixture of the British festival season, playing at Latitude Festival, Leeds Festival, Boardmasters, The Great Escape, YNOT Festival, and Liam Gallagher’s Malta Weekender, among others. In 2024, she finally took the main stage at the renowned Truck Festival—another milestone in a career that’s developing at an impressive pace.

Offstage, too, her reach continues to grow. Millions of streams and a steadily expanding social media following have long since propelled SOFY beyond the status of an insider’s tip. Despite her success, she retains the very directness and approachability that make her songs so authentic.

With “Another Day in Paradise,” SOFY released her fourth project—and her second mixtape—in 2025. The nine songs explore complicated relationships, self-doubt, friendship, and longing, showcasing an artist who continues to refine her style. Singles like “front seat honey” blend emotional honesty with the lightness of her modern indie sound.

Her debut album is set for release in 2026. The two concerts in Germany are therefore likely to not only be her biggest headline shows in the country to date, but also offer an exciting preview of the next chapter in her career.
