On this day, starting at 2:00 p.m., children who show a “Bärchen” when purchasing a ticket can bring one adult along on a half-hour round-trip ride on the park railway at the child fare.
In addition, ten free tickets will be raffled off as part of a drawing contest.
The trains will be accompanied by the Park Railroad Bear.
On Saturday, September 19, the park railway will participate in Rail Day, a nationwide event.
From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., a station festival will be held at Eichgestell Station, featuring information booths and hands-on activities organized by numerous transportation providers and partner companies.
Food and drinks will also be available. Two trains, some of which are pulled by steam locomotives, will be in continuous service.
Also, on the weekends of September 12–13 and September 26–27—for the first time since the summer break—steam locomotives will once again be coupled to the trains from 1:40 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
