Declan Forde is a Scottish pianist who has been an integral part of Berlin’s jazz and improvisation scene since 2014. His music explores the delicate balance between tradition and innovation, combining a deep reverence for the history of improvisational music with daring explorations of the unknown.

Forde has performed with local and international artists such as Han Bennink, Tony Malaby, Michael Attias, Doug Weiss, Andrea Parkins, Tobias Delius, and Jeff Williams.

João Gato is an alto saxophonist, improviser, and composer active in the fields of jazz, improvised music, and interdisciplinary projects involving film and dance. As an active figure in the Copenhagen and European improvisation and jazz-related music scenes, Gato has performed with Peter Evans, Audrey Chen, Kresten Osgood, Michael Formanek, Axel Dörner, Bart Maris, and Margaux Oswald.

Andrea Parkins is an electroacoustic performer, sound artist, and composer whose work explores the connections and shifts between body, material, sound, place, and space. She has long been known for her pioneering approach as an improviser, through which she uniquely combines the textures and timbres of her electronically processed accordion with multi-layered electronic feedback, amplified object sounds, and live processing of her custom-built instruments. She tours internationally as a solo artist and has collaborated with artists such as Ute Wassermann, Magda Mayas, George E. Lewis, The Necks, choreographer Vera Mantero, and filmmaker Abigail Child, among others.
