20 Years: Open House

Starting in the morning, the grounds will transform into an open space for visitors of all ages to come together.

In conjunction with the family series “Schrumpf!”, Renae Shadler will present a version of her performance “Greyline” developed specifically for the Radialsystem grounds.

Children and families can participate in a workshop by Sasha Waltz & Guests to learn about the work of the children’s and youth dance company and explore a playful approach to movement and dance; join Sandhya Daemgen’s “What’s that Noise?” at a listening party for all generations to go on a quest for sound; and explore the building through play and fun.

Together with artists and communities from the Radialsystem, and accompanied musically by NICO AND THE NAVIGATORS, a picnic by the Spree invites visitors to linger, exchange ideas, and get to know one another.

On the deck, Xavier Le Roy will present excerpts from his new performative exhibition “Temporary Title, 2026 – In the Middle, Somewhat Rehearsed” for the first time. In a walk-through setting combining movement, sound, and presence, new relationships between performers, space, and audience are constantly emerging.

Throughout the day, workshops, lecture performances, and discussions will bring together diverse perspectives on the body, knowledge, and artistic practice, including formats from the series “UNEXPECTED LESSONS – Knowledges of Body and Sound.”

In addition, children, families, and anyone curious can get moving themselves in the “In C” workshop led by Sasha Waltz & Guests.

In the evening, there will be barbecue and sundowners with a view of the Spree, before Sasha Waltz & Guests present a special performance of the acclaimed choreography “In C” with live music by Acid Pauli and other musical guests. Afterward, everyone will continue dancing together.
