The Vacation Programme at the Museum of Communication in Berlin

From magic tricks and top-secret messages to comic book heroes and snail mail, all the way to bike reflectors and pop-up postcards: The summer vacation program at the Museum for Communication in Berlin is once again packed with creative hands-on activities this year.

From July 14 to August 20, 2026, children ages 5 to 12 can craft, tinker, and explore every Tuesday through Thursday under the guidance of experienced museum educators.

The Summer Vacation Program at the Museum for Communication in Berlin

  • Dates: July 14 through August 20, 2026, every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
  • For: Kids ages 5 to 8 (2:00–2:45 p.m.) and ages 9 to 12 (3:30–4:30 p.m.)
  • Cost: 3 euros participation fee (ages 6 and up) plus museum admission for adults; children under 18 get free admission

July 16: Flowers, Leaves, Trees: Stamp a garden with your little fingers

July 21: From the Sea to the City: Beach finds and sand art

July 22: Drum, tambourine, whistle. Noise-makers from the sound workshop

July 23: With ink and a pen: Cheerful, colorful letters for family and friends

July 28: Connected from the heart forever: Friendship bracelets

July 29: Vacation on the Balcony: The summer breeze whispers through your colorful wind chime

July 30: Fingerprinting: Monsters, Dinosaurs, and Mythical Creatures

August 4: On a safari in the city. Little animal worlds in the mini-theater

August 5: Sock Monsters: Lonely single socks turned into friendly cuddly toys

August 6: Everything That Flies: Bats, birds, and flying fish made from feather-light material

August 11: Strong as a bear and fast as a leopard. Toilet paper roll animals from around the world

August 12: Kawuuum! With a mask, you’ll get superpowers like Spider-Man and Supergirl

August 13: Flying Mice: The Flashlight Projector for Summer Nights

August 18: The language of stones. Painting chicken gods and good-luck charms

August 19: Wildly fun: Fish, turtles, penguins, frogs, and crocodiles made from egg cartons

August 20: Your dream for the future. Catch it with a dreamcatcher!
