At a time when we once again have to discuss women’s rights and freedom of speech, when right-wing sentiment is growing stronger worldwide, and when a very conservative view of women is being promoted once again even in Western cultures, female comedians are going on the offensive!

“Sisters of Comedy – Nachgelacht” is a benefit event that has been held once a year since 2018 simultaneously on many different stages in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, each featuring a different lineup of female artists from the German-speaking comedy, cabaret, and slam scenes.

Each show donates a portion of the ticket proceeds to local women’s aid projects while simultaneously taking a stand against sexism and for gender equality.

This year, the beneficiaries are “Omas Gegen Rechts” (Grandmas Against the Right), which also has a local chapter in Tempelhof-Schöneberg.

“Omas Gegen Rechts” has been making an important contribution to political awareness for years and, because of their work, is often subjected to hostility. That’s reason enough to honor these amazing women on and through this evening and to support their work with a donation.

The Artists:

Author, poetry slammer, comedian, and soprano Fee Brembeck is at home in several artistic disciplines. This summer, she performed as a soprano for the Deutsche Oper am Rhein; as a cabaret artist, she was awarded the 2025 German Cabaret Prize’s Encouragement Award and is currently touring cabaret and comedy venues with her show “How to Frau.” She is a welcome guest on all major television shows, most recently on “WDR-Mitternachtsspitzen” and “Olafs Club.” Her book “Jetzt halt doch mal die Klappe, Mann!” was published in 2021.

The writer, literary reading series author, and columnist Kirsten Fuchs has long been a familiar name to many Berliners. She writes as a columnist for “das Magazin” and is a member of the literary reading series “Fuchs und Söhne,” “D. E. O. – Des Eselsohr,” and “Pod Show.” Her writing and books have won numerous awards, including the Kassel Prize for Humorous Literature and the German Youth Literature Prize for her novel “Mädchenmeute.” She’s a master of dead-serious nonsense. Marc-Uwe Kling says of her: “Her writing is extremely funny. And clever. And full of little nasty truths about us and the world.”

Sara Karas is currently touring the stages with her first solo show, “no Wonder no Woman.” Wonder Woman is the strongest woman in the world. But let’s be honest: she’s not that special. She comes from an island full of women—of course she’s naively optimistic. Then she lands in the real world and has to deal with men, babies, and shopping malls.

Sara Karas knows exactly how that feels—after all, she’s from a small town. And really, we’re all a little bit like Wonder Woman: We run to catch the train in uncomfortable shoes, hold the world together, and still have a savior complex. Welcome to real life!

This year, comedian and cabaret artist Mia Pittroff—born in Franconia and now a Berlin resident—will host the evening. “Smart comedy doesn’t have to be loud,” the Schwarzwälder Bote recently wrote about her, while the Bonner Generalanzeiger noted: “She bites with a smile.” Mia Pittroff is a member of the Berlin reading stage “LSD – Liebe statt Drogen” and tours cabaret stages throughout Germany and Switzerland with her show “ich geh schonmal nach hinten los.”
