We miss the original theater on Behrenstraße so much! That’s why the Komische Oper Berlin is launching “Metropol 26,” a new series of intimate concerts designed to bring the construction site to life through music once a year.

In doing so, they’ll look back at the past and forward to the present: What was performed in this building in 1926—exactly 100 years ago—when it was still called the Metropol Theater? And what’s on the Komische Oper Berlin’s program today, in the year 2026?

Join the ensemble members on a journey through the revues and operettas of the Golden Twenties, interspersed with highlights from the current core repertoire.

Please note: Due to construction work on-site, safety gear must be worn during the event; this will be provided to you on-site. Participants must be at least 16 years old, and sure-footedness is absolutely required.

Tickets are available for 40 euros, including a drink after the performance.

Due to the special on-site requirements, you will be asked to sign a declaration regarding the tour of the construction site before the concert begins. You are welcome to read through this declaration and an information sheet containing all the details in advance.
