Michael Abramovich

A concert evening that brings to life the essence of great music in a concentrated form: Three collections by significant composers enter into a dialogue, in

which their highly individual styles are revealed in condensed form. In these small, dense pieces, their musical possibilities are, as it were, concentrated into precious gems of great intensity. The juxtaposition of Beethoven, Bach, and Bartók opens up a fascinating panorama of musical expressiveness: from Baroque clarity through Romantic density to modern sharpness.

The first part features Ludwig van Beethoven’s 11 Bagatelles, Op. 119, and Johann Sebastian Bach’s 15 Sinfonias (three-part inventions), BWV 787–801.

Both sets of works demonstrate how grand ideas can be condensed into the smallest of forms—miniatures brimming with wit, humor, and inner movement.

The second part continues the theme of musical condensation with Béla Bartók’s 14 Bagatelles, Op. 6, and Beethoven’s Piano Sonata in F major, Op. 54: Bartók’s expressive brevity meets Beethoven’s elegant clarity—two worlds that illuminate and complement one another.

Pianist Michael Abramovich, born in Bucharest and raised in Jerusalem, studied at the Manhattan School of Music in New York and performs internationally. His interpretations combine emotional depth with

precise structure, making the music’s inner logic immediately accessible.

Abramovich’s program invites listeners to experience the essence of great music in a concentrated form—an evening that demonstrates how much expression can be found in brevity and how musical worlds can resonate.
