The stage becomes a place of remembrance, exchange, and (re)appropriation. Multilingualism becomes a powerful form of expression here: language is remixed, transformed, and creatively used in Poly-land—as a symbol of freedom, identity, and self-determination.
What grows when people move from one place to another?
What is being uprooted—what new roots are we putting down?
What potential does multilingualism hold?
What does it mean to be German today?
How does one feel a sense of belonging?

These and many other questions have inspired the performance club “Mehrsprachig und Dazwischen” (Multilingual and In Between)—a group of young people between the ages of 11 and 18 who are growing up multilingual.
Funded through the “Zero” program—climate-neutral art and culture projects—of the Federal Cultural Foundation. Funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
