A treat for Beethoven fans! Violinist Alina Ibragimova and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra will perform some of the composer’s best-known works: his Violin Concerto, which spans an emotional arc from gripping drama to touching introspection, as well as his lyrical violin romances.

Exciting new perspectives on Beethoven can be expected, in part due to Alina Ibragimova’s familiarity with historical performance practice. Another highlight of the evening is Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony—famous for its rousing rhythms and its energy that is at times exuberant, at times grim.
