Music Needs Community & Community Needs Music

What stories, memories, and traditions live on through sound?

Before the concerts, OFFKEY invites you to a series of live conversations with three musicians. Together, we’ll explore musical roots, cultural heritage, and the ways in which music travels across generations, geographical borders, and communities.

The conversations will cover topics such as family histories, spirituality, migration, cultural memory, and music as a bridge between the past and the present.

After a shared meal, the evening continues with live performances by the invited artists.

OFFKEY is an independent magazine and cultural platform for music journalism and conversations that center the perspectives of BIPOC and FLINTA individuals. Rooted in Berlin’s music scene, OFFKEY supports local artists and emerging voices. At the same time, the collective creates space for all those who resist conventional definitions of the music industry and believe in the transformative power of music. Through both its editorial work and the “OFFKEY Sessions,” the collective fosters exchange, solidarity, and personal encounters between artists and audiences—united by a shared commitment to collective liberation and community-based mobilization.

The names of the participating musicians will be announced shortly.
