Learning to Shape the Future
The goal is to identify trends, evaluate them, and combine them into desirable future scenarios.
Futures Thinking helps you better understand the complex challenges of the future—both professionally and personally. After all, the future is what we make of it!
Participants will focus on the relationship between people and machines, because technology today is much more than just a tool: It’s part of our everyday lives, influencing how we think and how we live together. We talk to machines, trust their decisions, and let them guide and advise us. Sometimes we even get the impression that they understand us emotionally. These interactions with technology are changing how we work, feel, and perceive ourselves. At the same time, we ask ourselves: What is there to gain—and to lose? And how do we want to shape our future with technology?
In this workshop, we’ll all look ahead together:
-> How do we want to coexist with technology?
-> Which tasks should machines take on, and which should remain with us humans?
-> How are our bodies, our abilities, and our self-image changing as a result of technology?
-> What new forms of closeness, interaction, and relationship between humans and machines are emerging?
What is an Open Lab evening?
Every Thursday, things get creative at the Lab. You’ll learn methods like Design Thinking and Future Storytelling, try out 3D printers and laser cutters, and get a behind-the-scenes look at the Lab’s projects. There’s something new every week.
