- Culinary delights will be provided by Einstein Kaffee on Savignyplatz with its specialty coffees, as well as Katchi Ice Cream, which will be on site with its ice cream bike. The company, based in Charlottenburg since 2018, crafts its ice cream by hand using natural ingredients. In addition to classic flavors, the most popular house creations will also be available, including Willy Wonka Chocolate Bomb and Sticky Coco.
To complement the neighborhood market, the CAMERA WORK Gallery is offering two public tours of the current exhibition “Christian Tagliavini / Eugenio Recuenco” at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Admission to the gallery and participation in the tours are free.
CAMERA WORK
The Berlin-based CAMERA WORK Gallery was founded in 1997 and is now one of the world’s leading galleries for photographic art. In keeping with its historically inspired name, the gallery has, from the very beginning, followed a philosophy of representing not only the most renowned artists in the history of photography—such as Diane Arbus, Richard Avedon, Patrick Demarchelier, Peter Lindbergh, Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, Man Ray, Herb Ritts, and Albert Watson, to represent and showcase young contemporary artists in exhibitions, with the aim of establishing photographic art as an independent genre within the visual arts and providing a platform for new perspectives.
In addition to its core areas of fashion, nude, and portrait photography, CAMERA WORK focuses on the fields of staged photography, architecture, and still life. CAMERA WORK exclusively represents numerous renowned contemporary artists in Germany, Europe, and worldwide, including Jean-Baptiste Huynh, Russell James, Chris Levine, Eugenio Recuenco, Martin Schoeller, Christian Tagliavini, Ruud van Empel, Dean West, and David Yarrow.
To establish a selection of contemporary artists in the art market and incorporate them into CAMERA WORK’s portfolio, CAMERA WORK operated the CWC GALLERY in Berlin from 2012 to 2019. CAMERA WORK is regularly represented at leading international art fairs, including Paris Photo, Zona Maco in Mexico City, Art Central Hong Kong, Art Miami, and Photo London.
