Maria-Magdalena Pitu-Jokisch received her training in Bucharest and Berlin and completed her concert exam at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin with honors. She has performed in numerous European cities as well as in Tokyo, among other places. She is also active as a teacher.
