"The Cloud" is an immersive choreographic installation by Berlin-based choreographer and performer Elizaveta Poliakova, created in collaboration with visual artist Dominic Kießling.

By combining contemporary dance, kinetic installation, live music, sculpture, and light, the work explores instability, transformation, fragility, and the ever-changing relationship between body, object, and environment.

At the center of the performance is Cloud, a large-scale kinetic installation made of ultra-thin foil and plastic materials that continuously changes through air, pressure, movement, and light. Hovering between sculpture and living being, the object reacts unpredictably to its surroundings and creates an ever-shifting physical landscape for the performer.

Rather than following a fixed narrative, The Cloud unfolds through shifting states of tension, resistance, and transformation. The choreography moves between control and instability, while the body continuously reacts to the installation, creating an atmosphere that is both fragile and unpredictable.

The performance also integrates sculptural and musical elements that further expand the immersive environment. A live musician accompanies the performance, creating an evolving atmosphere in dialogue with movement, installation, and space.

Marco Di Nardo’s lighting design further transforms the space, treating light not as classical scenography but as an active choreographic element that continuously alters perception. Conceived for immersive and transformable spaces, The Cloud transforms the House of Visionaries into a fluid landscape of movement, sound, sculpture, and kinetic architecture, where perception itself remains in constant flux.
