The Kyiv Biennial is a nomadic, international project that interweaves artistic, political, and social issues.
The exhibition at KW presents works from the Kyiv Biennial traveling exhibition as well as new commissions for Berlin. The extensive live program explores concepts of memory, displacement, and belonging, highlighting relationship-oriented and embodied practices as well as transnational artists from Berlin’s diaspora communities.
Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, more than one million Ukrainians have been forced to flee to Germany, making them one of the largest diaspora communities in Germany.
This guided tour in Ukrainian invites the Ukrainian (speaking) community to explore the exhibition in their native language.
