Piano Works by Beethoven, Bartók, Chopin, and others
Julia Hamos made her debut at the Pierre Boulez Saal in 2023 with György Ligeti’s Piano Concerto; two years later, her first solo recital featured works by György Kurtág, among others.
This season, the American-Hungarian pianist continues to focus on music from her family’s homeland, including folk song arrangements by Béla Bartók.
The young artist, who studied with Sir András Schiff at the Barenboim-Said Academy and has since achieved international success, will also perform Beethoven’s early Sonata in E-flat major and Chopin’s Fantasy in F minor.
