Lindenufer / Spandau Old Town

The first weekend in June is all about a time-honored highlight in the district: The Spandau Havel Festival once again transforms the waterfront areas of the Old Town into a lively festival zone.

Stretching along the promenade between Stabholzgarten, the boat landing, and Lindenufer, the event invites visitors from June 5 to 7 to enjoy the special atmosphere by the water, take a stroll, and spend time together.

A diverse music program on a total of three stages provides entertainment for all generations. The offerings are complemented by numerous stalls along the Havel riverbank, drawing visitors into Spandau’s Old Town. The center of the action is the stage at the boat dock, where the official program highlights take place. There, District Mayor Frank Bewig will open the festival on Friday at 6:00 p.m. Following that and on the subsequent days, well-known bands and artists will perform, including “Die Kassenpatienten” on Saturday evening and “Ulli und die grauen Zellen,” who will bring the festival to a musical close on Sunday. Local clubs and schools will also showcase their talents here.

In addition, the stages at Stabholzgarten and the Lindenufer parking lot offer a diverse lineup featuring other popular musical acts that invite you to listen, dance, and celebrate.

The Havelfest also has plenty to offer in terms of food and drink: numerous stands will provide guests with food and beverages. For the first time, there will also be a fish stand offering fried fish and fish sandwiches, among other items. Refreshments include non-alcoholic beverages from Knabe in Spandau, exotic cocktails, delicious wines, and freshly tapped beer. This diverse selection invites visitors to linger right by the water or in the beer gardens.

Families are also well catered for: various activity areas with attractions such as a children’s carousel, zorbing, and duck fishing provide entertainment for the youngest guests and ensure a variety of experiences throughout the festival grounds.

Special emphasis is placed on sustainability and accessibility. Reusable tableware is consistently used to reduce waste. Additionally, accessible entry points, such as wheelchair ramps, allow all visitors to fully participate in the festivities.
