EWA e.V. – Women’s Center and the Paula Panke Weissensee Feminist Center invite you to the handover of the art project “Walls of Shame” to the Paula Panke Weissensee Feminist Center.

Walls of Shame is a constantly growing and powerful installation made up of letters. With the support of EWA e.V. – Women’s Center, the initiator and curator of Walls of Shame has used social media/Instagram (@walls_of_shame___) to call on survivors of sexual violence to anonymously send the names of their perpetrators in a sealed envelope to Walls of Shame or to write a letter on-site.

Since the project began in early March, over 600 envelopes have been pinned to the walls from bottom to top with pins, forming a “wall”: an increasingly expansive memorial that calls for taking responsibility for the immense sexual violence and its consequences in our society.
