What would you like to see in the neighborhood—from the possible construction of the Neue Waisenbrücke as a car-free connection to the Marinehaus and Märkisches Museum of the Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin? Table tennis tables, lounge chairs, and bingo sets to borrow, exciting exhibits to touch, or simply a friendly ear and affordable drinks? We’ll collect your ideas, and everyone will celebrate with music, dancing, and popsicles.
Program
A colorful program awaits you with
clown Ruthie Scarpino,
the Wish Office, where your ideas will be drawn onto a giant poster by illustrators Burcu Türker and Sheree Domingo,
traditional children’s games
as well as music and performances by musicians from the Fanny Hensel Music School,
the K-pop dance group “HeartCore,”
and the salsa big band “La Melodica.”
The acts
Ruthie Scarpino
Ruthie Scarpino is a clown, physical mime artist, and circus performer from the wilds of Maine. Since leaving New York in 2018, Ruthie has toured internationally, performing and teaching in Wales, Scotland, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, sharing her craft with companies and audiences worldwide.
Most recently, she served as a guest director at America’s oldest children’s theater, where she led a cross-generational ensemble using physical theater, corporeal mime, and collective working methods.
HeartCore
Passionate choreography and high-energy performances—since 2023, the Berlin-based K-pop dance cover group HeartCore has been thrilling audiences with its shows. Whether performing well-known K-pop hits or their own creative choreography, HeartCore brings their love for K-pop to the dance floor and gets the audience celebrating along with every move.
La Melodica
La Melodica brings the energy and elegance of the golden era of Salsa Dura to the stage with full force. The ensemble of Latin American and European musicians, led by pianist Jonatan Morgenstern, has quickly become a fixture of Berlin’s salsa scene and also thrills audiences on stages throughout Germany. With their own concert and party series “Fuego36” at Berlin’s Bi Nuu, as well as high-energy live shows, La Melodica has earned a reputation as a band that gets the audience moving with passion, precision, and pure joy of playing.
