Close-to-water tour
Where Participation Makes Waves
Think along. Get involved. Have your say. At three selected locations on the Close-to-water tour (Close to the Water Tour), different perspectives come together: join the conversation with us and share your ideas and views to make Berlin a better place to live and strengthen our sense of community. The aim is to foster a city where both Berliners and visitors alike feel equally welcome and enjoy spending time.
Our contribution to Berlin
As part of the BerlinPay initiative, we invite Berliners, the wider community and visitors from all over the world to join us in an informal and relaxed discussion about wishes, ideas and concerns relating to the city’s waterfront areas. Meet us right by the water’s edge on the dates listed below and have a chat with us. Partners such as Berliner Stadtreinigung (BSR) will also be on site at some of these events, offering helpful tips and making themselves available for questions and direct discussion.
The ‘Close to water’ tour creates an open space for discussion about life and community at Berlin’s waterfront locations. Every opinion counts – and every perspective helps us to think the city through together.
Please note: we will announce the dates shortly.
Because we value your contribution to a liveable community in the city, we at visitBerlin, along with our partners in the city, would like to thank you with a small token of appreciation:
- free entry for you and a companion to the Badeschiff
- Discounts on the best seats for Quatsch Comedy
- Boat trips with the BWSG
- Free night-time swimming, exclusively for BerlinPay participants at the Stadtbad Oderberger
- or water tours with Stern und Kreis
While stocks last. No prior registration is required.
Shaping Berlin together
The ‘Close to the Water’ tour is part of our mission at visitBerlin to promote sustainable and city-friendly tourism. In collaboration with districts, initiatives, partners and city residents, we develop programmes that benefit Berliners and visitors alike and strengthen the dialogue between the city, neighbourhoods and guests.
