fight or flight: SEX

The exhibition brings together artistic works across various media, including installation, video, photography, painting, sculpture, and text. The participating artists view sexuality not solely as a personal experience, but as a realm shaped by social expectations, cultural imagery, and political structures.

Among other things, the exhibition addresses the portrayal of role models, the handling of closeness and vulnerability, and changes in intimacy in an increasingly digital present. In doing so, the exhibition engages with existing attributions and examines how these can be confirmed, questioned, or reformulated.

“fight or flight: SEX” is conceived as an open space for exhibition and discourse that, in addition to presenting artistic works, also offers a space for exchange and reflection. An accompanying public program featuring talks, performances, and workshops will take place, opening up diverse perspectives on the theme.
