For the third time, young talents are taking charge of service and the kitchen at the Michelin-starred restaurant

All good things come in threes: The third edition of the Trainee Dinner at Bonvivant is gaining momentum. Trainees who participated in previous takeovers, newcomers, and dual-track students from the Culinary Management program will take over the kitchen and service at the Michelin-starred restaurant on June 10 and 11, 2026, to treat guests to an extraordinary evening.

Even though the young chefs are planning and preparing the 4-course dinner—including amuse-bouches and petit fours—themselves, the experienced team led by Executive Chef Nikodemus Berger and Bar Manager Martin Wolf will be on hand to offer advice and support during the preparations.

“We are very pleased that our guests are responding so positively to this format,” says owner Jules Winnfield, “the young talents learn an enormous amount during this evening. It is an important step in their training and, at the same time, it is of course a lot of fun for everyone involved.”

The challenge should not be underestimated; after all, the young talents are representing Michelin-starred chefs and an excellent service team. The four-course menu featuring seasonal highlights is crafted with corresponding care. The accompanying cocktails—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic—are mixed to perfection to live up to the Bonvivant name.

Seating is limited to 60 guests this evening. To avoid making things even more difficult for the young chefs, any allergies or food intolerances cannot be accommodated at this dinner. The menu costs just 89 euros per person. The accompanying drinks, curated by the young chefs, are available for an additional 49 euros—with or without alcohol. Bonvivant is open Tuesday through Saturday from 6:00 PM and for brunch Friday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The restaurant has 34 seats; the bar seats ten people and the high tables seat 16, while the lounge area accommodates 20 guests. There is also an outdoor terrace with 56 seats.
