In conjunction with the exhibition "Between the Lines"

To mark the 25th anniversary of the Jewish Museum Berlin (JMB), the museum is hosting a special event. Shortly after his 80th birthday, architect Daniel Libeskind—whose visionary design made the museum world-famous—returns to the place inextricably linked to his work. As part of the exhibition Between the Lines, Libeskind discusses the creation of his building, his engagement with Berlin’s urban history, and the enduring significance of architecture for our culture of remembrance.

The exhibition itself takes us back to the time of the Berlin Wall’s fall and the years that followed: through models, drawings, and contemporary discourse, it traces how Libeskind’s design went far beyond the original building brief and continues to shape German culture of remembrance to this day.

The conversation will take place in the JMB’s glass courtyard and promises personal insights, reflections, and current perspectives on a work that has made architectural history.
