The Brass Band Berlin is one of the best-known ensembles of these cheerful lung virtuosos, led by its founder and director Thomas Hoffmann, a trained percussionist and the comedic frontman of his troupe.
In their day jobs, the eleven musicians play quite seriously in major symphony and opera orchestras. And so, instead of wearing grotesquely large plaid patterns, these city snobs take the stage in classic tailcoats.
For their “Swinging Christmas Show,” the Brass Band Berlin has a repertoire of classic American Christmas hits such as “Jingle Bells” and Johnny Marks’ immortal “Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer,” and much more.
