Seeatelier: Art by the lake in summer

The exhibition “In Focus: Max Liebermann’s Pastels. The World in Chalk” showcases Liebermann’s enthusiasm for the lightness and unique color palette of pastel chalk. How did he work back then? Where were his favorite spots? We’ll try it out for ourselves, find a nice spot for our easel, and discover all the possibilities of pastel chalk.

Bring your friends and discover Max Liebermann’s world together—the Liebermann Villa on Lake Wannsee and the life of the family that spent their summers here. Find your favorite spot in the garden or right by the water, let your imagination run wild, and experiment with color, pastels, and various materials. For inspiration, visit the current exhibition and then transform your impressions into your own works of art.

The Lake Studio takes place once a month and is open to teens ages 12 and up—no prior experience required.

The workshops can be attended individually or as a series.

All you need is a passion for art, curiosity, and a good mood.

Free admission for teens up to 18 years old.
