Seeatelier: Art by the lake in summer

To wrap things up, you’ll design your own summer house—as a story! Inspired by Liebermann and his view of Lake Wannsee, you’ll create your own mini-books, filling them with your own stories using collage and pastel techniques.

How would you have spent your time at the summer house? Where would you have placed your lounge chair, and how would you have decorated your room here?

Bring your friends and discover the world of Max Liebermann together—the Liebermann Villa on Lake Wannsee and the life of the family who spent their summers here. Find your favorite spot in the garden or right by the water, let your imagination run wild, and experiment with paint, pastels, and various materials. For inspiration, visit the current exhibition and then transform your impressions into your own works of art.

The Lake Studio takes place once a month and is aimed at young people ages 12 and up—no prior experience required.

The workshops can be attended individually or as a series.

All you need is a passion for art, curiosity, and a good mood.

Free admission for teens up to 18 years old.
