Brilliance, sound, and a good cause: “Contrasts in Brass” invites you to a special concert evening. The trumpet showcases its full range—sometimes radiant, sometimes gentle, always expressive.

Especially with the rarely heard Baroque trumpets, a warm, fascinating world of sound emerges, connecting the past and the present. The Liebermann Garden completes this evening: an inspiring backdrop for music and connection.
Join us—enjoy the concert and do some good at the same time. It is our great pleasure to welcome the DSO Trumpet Quintet—featuring Falk Maertens, Bernhard Plagg, Alex Rodriguez Parés, Matthias Kühnle, and Raphael Mentzen—to the summery atmosphere of the Liebermann Villa!

Before the concert, you will have the opportunity to view the exhibition “In Focus: Liebermann’s Pastels. A World in Chalk” in the exhibition rooms until 7:15 p.m.
The benefit concert supports the “Ground Floor Project,” which aims to renovate the ground floor of the Liebermann Villa, as well as the work of the Friends of the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin.
