From April 16 to 18, 2026, focus will be on the microscope, a groundbreaking invention that, much like the telescope, has revolutionized our understanding of scientific phenomena.

With its help, participants will focus on microplastics as one of the most pressing issues of our time. What do they mean by this, where do they encounter it in the environment and in their bodies, and what consequences does this have for society?

Through workshops, fulldome programs, lectures, and live performances, you’ll experience an exciting journey from the microcosm of life to the infinite vastness of the universe.

“Our Blue Planet”

What makes Earth so unique that life could emerge on it? The presence of liquid water on this planet creates a complex interplay of water cycles, erosion, and weather, giving rise to a diversity of habitats and life forms. You’ll take a comprehensive look at the state of the “Earth system” and what you can do to keep it from falling out of balance. Because the consequences—such as climate change—affect us all.
