Timon Krause – Artist Bio

From an early age, Timon Krause was drawn to the hidden corners of the human mind. Growing up in the tranquil town of Anholt in the Münsterland region, he developed an unusual fascination with perception, intuition, and the subtle nuances of human communication even as a teenager. While others were still searching for their path, he published his first book on mind reading at just 16 years old—early proof of his extraordinary drive. After graduating from high school, his path led him to Amsterdam, where he studied philosophy and combined his analytical acuity with artistic expression.

But it was a stay in New Zealand that took his mentalist abilities to a new level. There, he refined the techniques that would later make him internationally renowned. His breakthrough came in 2016: as the youngest winner ever, Krause was named “Best European Mentalist.” That same year, he made a splash as the first German mentalist to appear on the hit U.S. show Penn & Teller: Fool Us, proving to an audience of millions that his art is far more than just illusion.

What sets Krause apart is his blend of entertainment and depth. His books—including “You Are a Mentalist!” (2018), “Do We Know Each Other?” (2020), and “Be Ahead of Your Time” (2024)—show that he is not only a performer but also a thinker. With his latest work, “99 Mind Hacks,” set to be released in May 2026, he once again opens the door to the mechanisms of our thinking.

On stage, Krause captivates audiences worldwide with shows that are equally astonishing and thought-provoking. Following his successful “Messiah” tour of Germany in 2025, he will go on tour in 2027 with his new program “Happy”—a journey into the question of how we truly understand happiness.

Krause is also a presence offstage: whether on talk shows like “Kölner Treff,” the “NDR Talk Show,” or on “Joko & Klaas vs. ProSieben”—he consistently captivates audiences with his ability to read people and broaden their perspectives. Today, Timon Krause lives in Berlin and Amsterdam, travels the world, and shares his ideas not only in shows but also on international stages.
