In what feels like a stream of consciousness, director Lana Daher's feature debut charts a modern history of Lebanon through the country’s cinematic and audiovisual archive. The journey, promising nostalgia, humour, and political commentary, ultimately unfolds as a love letter to Beirut, even if that love is expressed with a question mark.
“Do You Love Me?” had its world premier at the Venice Film Festival, as part of the official selection of Giornate degli Autori.
