Once again this year, the youth ensemble of the Theater im Palais Berlin, DIE JUNGE BÜHNE IM PALAIS, is staging a premiere in keeping with the year’s theme, “The Power of Women.”

This time, the story centers on six women who are taken in by gas station attendant Jens as they gradually, more or less by chance, find themselves stranded at his station.
All the characters have sprung from well-known fairy tales or are currently trying to escape them. Tongues against legs, straw turned to gold, a poisoned apple, or the wolf by the roadside.
To break free from old patterns, the characters must ask themselves: Who is to blame, who gets to speak, who gets paid, and who is even listening?
In keeping with this year’s season theme, the young people have explored various gender-specific narratives, playfully reimagined them, and added moments of self-assertion.
Their explorations have been incorporated into this world premiere.
