The poems from etcetera press Berlin follow shifting signals. Yet what unites them is their ability to pick up on every sound: sounds they amplify and rearrange, transforming into images – at times melancholic, laconic, and occasionally bitingly funny.
They pick up disruptive impulses, rustle and hum, appearing at times in cool, minimalist beats, at others occurring in the pauses between the beats. This gives rise to hybrid formations at the intersection of sound, text and image.
As part of this year’s Poets’ Corner Pankow, etcetera press Berlin will be presenting the latest poetry collections by its authors Elke Heinemann, Seda Mimaroğlu, Erec Schumacher and Christiane Quandt during the evening.
The event will be hosted by Saskia Warzecha.
With texts in German and English.
