For many years, the festival has been a fixture on Berlin’s calendar of events and has become one of the city’s most popular family events.
What once began as an idea to bring people together and share joy now delights tens of thousands of visitors every year—across generations, open to all, and free of charge.
The sky above Tempelhofer Feld becomes a stage: gigantic kites, some up to several dozen meters in size, soar into the air, marveling young and old alike.
International kite pilots showcase their artistic flying creations, while families and children are invited to fly their own kites or participate in creative hands-on activities.
The colorful spectacle is accompanied by a lively supporting program featuring music, activities for children, and culinary offerings. As always, admission is free. Further information about the program will be posted in due time on our website and social media.
