A nighttime serenade, a colorful parade of animals, and a fun wine tasting—the Wien-Berlin Ensemble’s concert is full of surprises.
The program opens with Mozart’s mysterious Serenade in C minor, before Luciano Berio’s Opus Number Zoo transports the audience to rural Italy, where a hen and a fox dance together.
Vinko Globokar then takes aim at drunken musicians in *Avgustin, dober je vin*, and Joachim Raff revives the carefree Viennese serenade tradition in his *Sinfonietta*.
The Wien-Berlin Ensemble, consisting of members of the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestras, is joined by additional colleagues from Berlin.
