De Lima’s specially composed sound collage places the piano in a new context: the sounds are shaped by memory, resistance, and the cultural reinvention of Pernambuco. The performance also draws inspiration from an extraordinary collection of 17th-century ivory furniture, created in Pernambuco and now on display at the Schlossmuseum.
