Trumpeter and composer Dima Bondarev, winner of the German Jazz Prize (brass category), brings his powerful, modern sound to Peppi Guggenheim. Born in Ukraine and based in Berlin, Bondarev is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary European jazz—shaped by classical roots, a deep understanding of jazz, and a bold, modern aesthetic.

As a graduate of the Jazz Institut Berlin and a former participant in the Focus Year program in Basel, Bondarev has worked with greats such as Gilad Hekselman, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Lionel Loueke, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Aaron Parks, Kit Downes, Joey Baron, Jorge Rossy, Jim Black, and the NDR Big Band.
