Two one-act plays

Edward Albee's *The Zoo Story*: A sunny afternoon in Central Park. Two men meet by chance on a park bench, and what begins as a casual conversation develops into a psychological battle of existential force.

With *The Zoo Story*, the future Pulitzer Prize winner Edward Albee achieved his breakthrough as a playwright in 1958. In this one-act play, Jerry and Peter represent two contrasting lifestyles: the isolated outsider and the bourgeois, secure family man. Between seemingly innocuous observations about a visit to the zoo, a dialogue unfolds about loneliness, social conventions, and the desperate search for genuine connection. No matter how much we rattle the bars of our self-deceptions, we cannot break free.

*Tiger Milk* by Stefanie de Velasco

*Tiger Milk* tells the story of two 14-year-old friends who spend a summer growing up amidst freedom, alcohol, first love, and harsh realities. Stefanie de Velasco's novel of the same name has been described as a powerful, unflinching, and yet poetic coming-of-age story. The novel was adapted into a film, and a play was also produced.
