In this turbulent trial full of unexpected twists and turns, a clever lawyer with a sharp wit tries to save the accused. Agda, charming and enigmatic, is accused of murdering her husband, the painter Hilmar Kjerulf. During the trial, the accused becomes increasingly entangled in lies and contradictions. Can her clever lawyer still save her, or will his ploy backfire?
