The churchyard as a place of monument preservation
Also this year the Twelve Apostles Cemeteries take part in the nationwide day of the open monument. The focus of the day will be on the topic of “grave sponsorships”. The Günther mausoleum has just been extensively repaired by a grave sponsor, a jewel in the preservation order. This mausoleum can also be viewed from the inside.
The architect Hoffmann will report on the project on site.
The filmmaker Bertram von Boxberg accompanied the restoration on film for six months, and his video documentation is shown. Wolfgang Schindler will offer a guided tour of the churchyard, which will focus on the possibilities of grave sponsorship.
