In 1982, a new military service law was passed in the GDR which provided for the inclusion of women. Women formed up to defend themselves.


The "Women for Peace" was a group that was in the focus of the GDR state security. The peace activists were spied on, interrogated and arrested.

The women developed strategies for dealing with the Stasi in order not only to be powerless at the mercy of the Stasi, but also to be able to act. Almut Ilsen's lecture will build on her own experiences.
