"Ich hab’s dir doch gleich gesagt, Sebastian."

At 38, he's learning to play the recorder and trying to explain to his father how a smartphone works. Both of these things only work semi-successfully. He decides to become an allotment gardener to find his inner peace in nature, but then the weeds grow over his head.

Anyway, someone always comes along and knows better: "It won't work anyway, I told you so!" Most of the time, it's one's own mother. And it's true. She said it. So listen to your mothers, all of you!

Sebastian Lehmann comes from southern Baden, but lives in Berlin. He often talks to his parents in his hometown of Freiburg on the phone and talks about it on SWR3 and RBB radioeins. He has won the Baden-Württemberg cabaret prize and is a member of the reading stage "Lesedüne". He has also written numerous books, most recently published:
