A book exchange station is set up in a historic mausoleum in the churchyard
Exchanging books is very trendy! Former telephone booths are often used as book exchange stations. In the Old Twelve Apostles Cemetery on Kolonnenstrasse, a historic mausoleum is now being turned into a book exchange station, a book mausoleum.
This works very simply: bring books that you have finished and put them in the bookcase in the mausoleum for other people. Take books that others have brought out of the closet. The good thing about it: the cemetery with its numerous seating options is an ideal place to look into the new old books or lose yourself in them in a reverent calm, in the middle of a magnificent nature.
At the opening of the book mausoleum, the actress Silke Jensen will spontaneously read from books that you bring with you or that you discover in the bookcase. You are cordially invited! The Book Mausoleum is open daily during the cemetery's opening hours. Admission free.
