Maximilian Nowka sings Max Hansen. Let Maximilian Nowka, accompanied by Andreas Peschel on the piano, take you back in time to the Golden 20s, with songs like: "Einmal möcht ich sie küssen gnädige Frau", "Meine liebe Lola", "Ach Luise" or "Zuschaun kann i net".

As a singer, cabaret artist and actor, Max Hansen was one of the great entertainment stars of the Weimar Republic. After sharp-tongued chansons and threatened by the Nazis, he emigrates first to Vienna, then in 1938 finally to Copenhagen, his mother's country of origin. Like many other exiled artists, Max Hansen was later unable to continue his former successes after the cultural break of the Nazi era.
