To mark International Women's Day on March 8, 2026, the German Historical Museum invites you to a free program in the current exhibitions in the Pei Building.

PROGRAMME

The guided tour "From Hildegard von Bingen's Green Power to the Women of Wyhl's Anti-Nuclear Movement" in the exhibition "Nature and German History: Faith – Biology – Power" explores how women—whether as philosophers, artists, scientists, or activists—have interpreted, researched, and politically shaped nature. The tour focuses on how they have influenced the understanding of nature in different historical contexts.

  • The tour is offered at 12:00, 1:30, 2:00, 3:30, 4:00, and 4:30 p.m.

The guided tour “Spotlight On! Feminist Perspectives on the Exhibition ‘Roads Not Taken’” focuses on selected events in 19th- and 20th-century German history, examining them from feminist and gender history perspectives. The central question explored is whether historical developments could have unfolded differently.

  • Tours are offered at 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.

Admission and guided tours are free.
