Evening tour through the Sanssouci Picture Gallery with Palace Director Andreas Woche, SPSG
At the beginning of May each year, the Picture Gallery awakens from its winter slumber and reopens its doors to the public. As part of a special guided tour, interested visitors now have the unique opportunity to gain an exclusive insight into Frederick II's gallery, which is normally still in its winter dormancy.
The tour provides information about the history and architecture of the oldest surviving gallery building in Germany and explains how the king managed to build one of the most important art collections in the German-speaking world in such a short time.
