Future Tools Series

This Open Lab evening will feature participants exploring the dream tool of all 3D enthusiasts – the 3D printer! Are you interested in 3D printers and looking for a beginner's course on the subject? Then join us for an easy and engaging introduction to 3D printing.

In this workshop, you'll learn essential basics for realizing your own 3D printing projects. Using a small lettering example, we'll demonstrate how to create your own 3D print designs with TinkerCAD and print them on the Ultimaker 2 using Cura. Join us and become a "Digital Maker" in no time!

The 3D printer and materials for experimentation are available for free use on-site. Bringing your own laptop is advantageous for developing your own design. But don't worry, laptops will also be available.

A practical note: Printing on the 3D printer takes a relatively long time. The focus is on gaining insight into the technology – therefore, we cannot guarantee that all participants will be able to print something.

Machine: 3D Printer

"Future Tools" is the current workshop series that delves deeply into various technologies: The team provides training on the machines of the future and uses them to develop new ideas.
